I enjoyed seeing the places I'd visited in Paris but these little vignettes without point, plot or purpose just left me very disappointed. This critically acclaimed, box-office smash combines visions from the world's top directors -- the Coen brothers (Fargo), Alexander Payne (Sideways), Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting) -- and some of America's top stars -- Natalie Portman (Closer), Elijah Wood (The Lord Of the Rings), Juliette Binoche (Chocolat) -- who together create a panoramic portrait of this photogenic city. I enjoyed watching it the first time through. Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2018. I'll admit I liked some of the stories more than others and will probably skip through the sadder ones next viewing.
