Second only to St. Mary, St. Jude Thaddeus is the most called upon saint in modern day prayer throughout the calendar year, not just on St Jude day. A very close person to me was due to be sent to Afghanistan on a tour of duty. Although most come from London and the southeast, many others come from across Britain and even from abroad to celebrate this special time with God and with one another, in the company of the Carmelites. When you send your intentions, I hope you will include an offering of support for our Pallottine priests and brothers in their ministries to the poor around the world. I was crushed and my mom said a prayer to St. Jude for me to find someone else. My daughter was visiting a friend in Japan when super typhoon Neoguri passed over the island. About 4 years ago I had applied to law school. My prayer for you is that the kindness you have shared with our ministry will be abundantly returned to you. Shrine will be open from 8 am to 3 pm. In my heart and in my mind I knew it was you when I was seeing the miracle happening before my eyes. I prayed to St. Jude every day that they might find someone to enjoy life with and find happiness and stability. She was finally committed to the state hospital where she found some relief from her condition. Simon and Jude whose names occur together in the Canon of the Mass and are also celebrated on the same day. Miraculously, she reported that the apartment in which she was staying experienced hardly any wind or rain even though 155 mph winds and 46 foot high waves were reported in that region.

Thank you, St. Jude. Or perhaps someone you know has given up hope on finding a job. She needed to pay her property taxes and was short about $1,500. Through prayers and the intercession of St. Jude, my daughter-in-law, diagnosed with terminal cancer, has twice now had tumors removed and five new tumors disappear. My marriage and life were in terrible despair.
